Messages from the ACDCA Secretary

Another great Specialty goes down in the history books. Joyce Rowland and ALL of her crew did a fantastic job of hosting the Specialty. Each and every time I saw Pam Morgan, she asked if there was anything I needed. Boy, was that an open-ended question! :0) California is always my preferred location for Nationals. The ACDCGLA club is also to be commended for the super herding trial they hosted after Nationals.

This year we had a tied vote for the Southwest Director. Tie-breaker ballots were sent out by the Cascade Club members and then counted by Rebecca Elder, Chris Ann Moore, and myself at the Specialty. It’s great having so many “requisitioned volunteers!”

Membership directories are being revised, just before printing. The arrival of your club materials depend on up-to-date information. Make sure to report new addresses to Christy Donham.

Make it a great fall/winter.

Respectfully,

Marilyn Painter, ACDCA Secretary

Greetings Cattledog Fans,

July finds us once again planning, training and budgeting for the National Specialty. California is always my favorite location for Specialty! It’s a short drive within Specialty range to do a myriad of fun things. We’re looking forward to fun in the sun with NO humidity.

Our recent election has turned in a tie vote for the Southwest Director. The Cascade Club was kind enough to send out the tie-breaker ballots for me as we head out for Switzerland and Germany. I encourage each of you to vote on every election we hold. Stand up and be a voice!

Ballots and counting seems like all I’ve done this year. Thanks to all those who’ve pitched in for mailing and counting. Oh, and I’ll be asking for help in another month!

At present we’re still in need of a Quarterly Editor & Advertising Editor. I for one will sure miss the talents of Deb Casey and Denise Frick. A huge kudos to Lynn Tatro for the fine job she does keeping up the ACDCA website. Lynn is always open for ideas and materials.

Feel free to volunteer your time and talents at not only the National Specialty, but at the National Club level. We’re always in need of help!

Respectfully,

Marilyn S. Painter

Secretary’s Report
Marilyn Painter

Everyone should be in the full swing of summer activities, including all the fun dog-related sports as well. As winter comes to an end, I always begin to look forward to many miles of travel we cover each summer.

Once again I was able to take advantage of Cowcampers for ballot mailings. Thanks to Leslie Allen, Mary Calley, Alison Deilke, SJ Gahm, Joann Grant and MJ Hotter for their assistance in mailing the Judges Nomination form and the restatement ballot. I’m already looking forward to my next group of helpers. :0)

I look forward to meeting many of you at Nationals again this year. The Costa Mesa Specialty has been my favorite so far and this one looks to be even better! Hope to see you all there!

Welcome to Christy Donham, our new Membership Coordinator. Christy will take any updates you have relating to membership. She’s listed in your new GREEN membership directory.

Respectfully,
Marilyn Painter
