Motion by Lu O. Castro: I move to set the ACDCA, Inc. up as a merchant to accept Master & Visa cards through COSTCO program at a rate of 2.04% + $.28 per transaction to enable purchases by Club members & non members ACDCA logo items as well as some of the activities in conjunction of our National Specialty starting with the 2004 Specialty. The Club would only accept MasterCard & Visa for 3 to 6 months coinciding with the National as a seasonal merchant. By accepting MasterCard & Visa, sales could increase, thus creating more revenue. The Club would also benefit from better cash flow as these transactions would be deposited directly into the Club's checking account within several days of the transactions. Therefore the Club would have more available funds coming into the account directly at a time when expenses are high. In addition to the aforementioned fees, there is a one time software cost of $180.00. These cost should come out of the Specialty budget each year.
